Hello Mike.
As agreed, I'm posting here a question about barco mods.
I haven't found a general section on the forum, so I've posted here.

I got a barco 808 modified to 808s
(firmware, RGB input, RGB driver, conv. driver and vert. defl boards)

I got also R762746 neckboards (120MHz for MEC tubes) and R7621735 (75MHz original 808's necks).

I'm converting the projector to LC with P16 tubes, so I'm looking for some mods to reach the best image/bandwidth possibile with this machine.

Have you any mods available for sale for this model?
Or even, have you any suggestions on what can I modify on my neckboards/etc.. to get higher performance?

Thanks in advance.

Bye,
Edoardo.

I'll have to find a 120 mhz neck board and make this happen first. The goal would be to first do the mod to the neck board, then post a picture showing what to do.

The few changes to the neck board really makes for good performance increase.

I'll also later, do the same with a video board. i already have several of them already modified.

Great! 8-)

Unfortunately, I got only three 120MHz neck, no spare.
If you have problem to find that, I could send you one of mine and work temporary with old 75MHz necks.
Otherwise, we could ask for a boart to Curt or Niktec for one of that board, but are very hard to find!

Nothing to do on the old 75MHz?
These are much more confortable during the 2 and 4 pole magnet tuning :D

Thanks,
Edoardo

I don't have any 120 mhz boards, so I don't know how to proceed from here.

The only thing I can think of is someone send me one board to modify, and we post what changes would need to take place. I'll also send the board back.
